after some talking around, i have decided to bring back a huge box of chocolates! or a medium box. or at least something chocolatey. for the next class outing! so whatever we do wherever we go it had better be cool. and also cool with us eating chocs there. so.
the class blog is starting to slow down already! and a little less than half still have not joined yet. hmm. at least one has a valid reason, perhaps more too. as for chloe's layout- ahha! i think i can with some trial and error implement it. just as long as you have a screenshot of it so i can visualize the outcome. alternatively, lim jiin can do the necessary htmlalizing! it's all fine.
the obligatory "daphne get well" line!
also, what sort of chocolate do you all like? i personally like dark chocolate, and am particularly fond of the meiji 28-in-a-box one. and have a vendetta against lindt chocs. aussie chocs are okay though. hm i know some people in class like milk chocs, while others are fond of dark chocs. anybody particularly like white chocolate?
i think it will be a long time before my cooking skill levels up! but if anybody is planning an excursion to anybody's house, hehehe. uh. make sure the kitchen is insured, and you have a nice stock of herbs, namely basil and rosemary and oregano. and olive oil, extra virgin. and get some nice italian bread. and have an oven! for toasting the bread. also get some fresh tomatoes, and make sure you haven't run out of garlic. ayep that's about all. oh, it would also be nice to have around extra butter and sugar, although those are assumedly common.
are you all still getting tanked on various stimulants? it has been a long while since i have had coffee or even tea or any sports drink! also, i have been trying to eat more steamed stuff as opposed to fried stuff. eat healthily! it saves you a lot of work, guilt, and paranoia later. the bad part is getting your body used to it. its like kicking some addictive habit, but food habits are a lot harder to change. i heard somewhere that your eating habits are determined largely during your infancy or somewhere thereabouts. oh well. in any case trying to sidestep a heart attack is actually a lot more interesting than it sounds.
get something to occupy your mind with! don't dota all day. seriously. you lose all semblance of sentience. even playing on an xbox gives you reflexes, psychomotor, and hand-eye co-ordination. get a book, or possibly even better, get a few mind puzzles. i know google's personalized homepage has a daily sudoku and crossword option, so use that! sometimes books are better, but don't read chick lit, seriously. try finding a copy of aesop's fables, the originals. or you could try dune and asimov's robots, if you're interested in sci-fi and a little logic. there's the classics, like don quixote and dante's divine comedy, although for horror you really should grab a book of edgar allen poe. finally, for adventurous readers, try the decameron! its infinitely amusing. heh.
